I spent my weekend here, Lake Wawasee. We end up making the trip every free warm weekend we can, whenever we’re able to wrestle ourselves away from weddings or graduation parties or street festivals in the city.
It was still a little cold to get in the water, but I did most of the rest of my favorite things…taking boat rides, biking to the farmers market, eating rhubarb anything, running (it feels good to have sore legs again), sleeping in (one day), catching the sunrise (the other), napping, drinking coffee on the porch, having dinner at my favorite (central Indiana) restaurant, falling asleep to the trains going by and the flags clanging against the sailboat masts right outside the window…I wish for summer all year and can never quite believe my luck when it rolls around again.
