My March resolution was to do yoga every day. I did only okay with this one. I hit probably 80% of the days, but most of the time I worked at it for only 10 minutes or so. I just felt like I was already doing so many exercises - ankle stuff twice a day, physical therapy, swimming - that I didn’t have a lot of motivation or time to do more.
My April resolution is to change my relationship with two things: our apartment and my clothes. I know I’m extraordinarily lucky. I have everything I need. But sometimes I get into these moods where I think I look stupid and our place looks stupid and I need to buy a bunch of new stuff, stat, so I can stop embarrassing myself. My plan is to be grateful for, take care of, and work with what I have and, if and when I do buy new things, to buy them carefully, with an eye toward using them for a long time.
